Support for Animal Lovers

One Welfare social workers understand the special relationship we have with our animal friends.

A One Welfare social worker can
provide support with animal treatment decisions, euthanasia and the grief often associated with the loss of a companion animal.  We can work in collaboration with your vet to give you the time and space you need to unpack your feelings and make informed decisions.

One Welfare social workers can provide specific information on topics such as self-care, children's grief, animal welfare and animal therapies as well as offering individual, family counselling or peer support sessions.  We can link you with further supports if required, and offer follow-up communication to make sure you are all travelling ok.

Social workers can also offer advocacy to address systemic and structural issues that create inequality, injustice and discrimination.
